Ever since I was a little girl, I would love to watch TV shows where they would show some make-up tutorials demonstrated by various make-up artists in Pakistan. When I finally had a grasp of eye shadows, I would experiment with them (even though I would sometimes, literally end up going to parties looking like a clown!). However, the famous saying 'practise makes perfect' is what I abided by for several years, until I managed to blend and make use of different shades, perfectly.
Things you will need:
Method:
Considering I don't tend to use shimmery colours much, I decided to try them out for the first time. Here's how I created the look:
Things you will need:
- Moisturizer
- Foundation
- Eye shadow brushes: 3
- Black eye pencil
- Black mascara
- Eye shadow palette: I used the BH Cosmetics 120 shades eye shadow palette-2nd Edition.
Method:
- First, moisturize your skin thoroughly with a commendable moisturizer. Let it settle on your skin.
- Apply foundation with your fingers on the lid as well as around the eye (upper and lower lids). The foundation enables the shadow to stay intact for a longer amount of time.
- Apply a shimmery gold all over the lid, as well as in the inner corner of the eye. With a separate eye shadow brush, blend the gold shadow, thoroughly.
- Apply a shimmery pink all over the crease, and the outer corner of the eye blending it really well; once again, with a separate blending brush.
- For contrast, I also applied a small amount of dark purple shadow on the outer corner of the eye, and blended it in with the pink colour.
- Once, the eye shadows were blended and settled, black mascara was applied on the lashes.
- Finally, black kohl pencil was used all over the water line, which was also used to apply the liner.
Overall, this look goes well with red lipstick and a rosey pink blush! Hope you try it out, and let me know your opinions! Cheers!
(P.S. This is my very first make-up blog. Please free to let me know how I can improve my instructions. Thanks)
